Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) setting, including those transitioning from acute or critical care
• Monitor and manage post-surgical and medically complex patients requiring close observation and specialized treatment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
• Evaluate and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment on an ongoing basis
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and optimize patient care outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact licensure eligibility
• Demonstrated experience in a PCU, intermediate care, or stepdown unit setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and effective interdisciplinary teamwork

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a transplant or specialty PCU environment
• Familiarity with managing post-surgical patients with complex medical needs
• Experience working night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting
